The laptop is impressive but the battery life is short. Not an issue since a better one can and will be ordered. An all around nice computer. Perfect for college class work and gaming.

I had already written a review for this notebook but it would appear it didn't go through so I'll write another brief one. This laptop came in excellent condition with a few small, negligible scratches (not on the screen, but on the surrounding plastic). I have played Call of Duty 4 on this on maximum settings decently well and I haven't had much other opportunity to play other games. I like the backlit keyboard and I like that it runs my windows 7 installation flawlessly with additional fastboot from asus. I paid 699 for this laptop so was a tad bit disappointed to see that they lowered the price about 2 or 3 weeks after my purchase. However, I would like to note that this laptop is a little bit big for extensive mobility and the battery life is sub-par probably coming in at just under 2 hours. If you're like me, and you just want a powerhouse of a laptop that will give you lots of bang for your buck, then I do recommend this for you by all means.

ok well i just got the refurb in the mail today its awesome. everything is running smooth i play starcraft 2 on high didnt try ultra yet but still lol. so far its running like a champ. :)

Product did not last a week. In the computer was found memory sticks that were never removed. Blue screen of death appeared after only a few days. Think twice as to what refurbished really means...
Great laptop for games and work July 15, 2010

This is a great laptop for most games on very high to max settings.I have a much more expensive laptop that will easily out play it on max, but for most games very high is playable.You really can't go wrong with this one if battery life is of no concern. Play on and enjoy. Remember the game is more important than frame rates.The first one I received was defective but Amazon shipped the replacement next day shipping at no cost.I am firmly an Amazon shopper now!!!!!
