It's a good vertical messenger February 26, 2010 Julius Baltonado (New York, NY USA) First of all, I got this messenger based on two aspects: vertical style, and laptop protective capability. There are very few vertical-style laptop messenger bags, so this was a steal for the prince. On both aspects, it rocks, but there's a catch. It's actually better to get this one for a 14 or a 12 inch lappy. Mine's a DV6, 15.6 diagonally. It fits, I checked, but it only covers 4/5ths of the lappy, it doesn't account for the top. The flap does cover it, but it would be ludicrous to use it for that on a daily basis. Maybe if you REALLY need to.
It's not all that spacious, but I do use it to carry my college binder, my envelope document bag, and my thinner books inside of the zip and main pockets. The front zippers are pretty convenient for miniscule items such as liquid erasers, glue, coins, flashdrives, and whatnot. Pen pockets are great for ease of access. The last thing this bag's good at is keeping a water bottle or foldable umbrella on the size mesh pocket. Convenient for any day of the week. If this was a messenger bag for a 17 incher, maybe I'd be a happier camper, but I love this bag anyway. Wish it were bigger, but hey - it's cool ^_^
Great bag! February 15, 2010 JohnDoe 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was debating between this bag and another one, because I wanted a stylish looking bag. Judging from the picture, I thought that this bag had everything that I would need as a computer science student, except style. But because of the price (so cheap!), I bought it anyways. When it arrived, it's actually a very nice looking bag! It fits my laptop perfectly, and I can put the charger in too. I also put a folder, or a small textbook in there, but that's all that fits. I do like the water bottle zip pocket too. If you need a lot of things to carry, this only can carry your laptop, and one textbook/folder. Since the college I go to, requires to use your ID card a lot, the card compartments are really convenient! Inside is also a section for CDs, which I thought was nice too. But I really do like the mp3 player and headphone slots. It's really great for a college student! The only downside for me is that it hurts wearing it over your chest (but that's because I'm a small person), like messenger bags are usually worn, but if I wear it over the shoulder, like a purse, it feels a lot better, doesn't hurt and doesn't feel heavy.
Excellent - but NOT designed for widescreen laptops November 18, 2009 Arindam Sen (Middletown, CT United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just got mine today, I am happy about this.
Pro's -
1. Robust & nicely built.
2. There is nice little pockets of different size, shape all over for all your other items you want to carry with your laptop.
3. The shoulder strap is very comfortable.
4. There is a innovative hidden zipper water bottle pocket - this is cute
5. The laptop compartment is compact, separate, & it has a security strap.
6. The outer flap close is a click lock & length of which can be adjusted.
7. The back of the back has zippered sleeve to use that to tie up with your carry on luggage handle (innovative & useful)
Con's -
1. The laptop compartment shape is NOT for widescreen laptops. I have a 13.3" widescreen & it barely fits the length but has space on the sides (little irritating). So, when it says it fits 15.4", it may not fit a widescreen laptop.
2. Apart from the compartment, otherwise also the bag could have been made a little more compact because I see some space on both the sides outside the compartment which again can not be used really for anything effectively.
Note: I have read many reviews, people asked for a hand handle, but i think the hand handle would be a negative point considering the style this bag has.
overall, I like it, considering the price I got for, its a winner.
Edit 26th Nov:
After I started extensively using it, I want to update few of my earlier comments
1. It seems that I have also started missing the hand carry handle, it would have been good if it was there
2. Now I dont believe it should have been made more compact (refer to point no 2 in con section of my original review) as now I feel it has right amount of space for some additional documents etc which you might want to carry along with your laptop.
With this I would probably change my rating to 4.5 stars...

Very Good Bag March 16, 2009 T. White (Tallahassee, FL) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I ordered this bag for a 13.1 inch Sony laptop after reading many reviews on other bags. For my needs this is a perfect size bag with the right amount of pockets and space. The only suggestion I have would be to design it with a carry handle. The shoulder strap is adjustable, but not enough to carry it by hand instead of on your shoulder. I like the metal clasps on the strap and the metal rings you connect the straps to on the bag. The shoulder strap has a pad too. There are two inside pockets, one for the computer with a velcro strap to secure the computer and the second can be used to store a book or your power cord. Under the top flap there are several individual pockets designed to carry cellphone, iPod, pens, small cords, etc. This flap is secured by a sturdy clasp. There are two outside zipped pockets you can store thin folders or other paperwork.
This messenger bag is designed to carry a laptop, power cords and some work materials. It is sturdy and appears it will last. I highly recommend this bag.
